We are easy to reach by car or public transportation. Our gallery is twelve miles north of
downtown Chicago in the suburb of Evanston.
Gallery hours:
We're open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and by appointment. If you're planning a special trip, we suggest that you call ahead.
Driving directions:
It's only 30 minutes to us from downtown Chicago via the Kennedy and Edens Expressways (I-
94) or by Lake Shore Drive and Sheridan Road.
We're less than ten minutes from the Edens Expressway (I-94). Exit at Old Orchard and drive
east about 1½ miles to Crawford. At Crawford turn left (north) for one block to Central Street.
Turn right (east) on Central; it's just over a mile to our gallery.
For current information on road construction and real-time maps of traffic congestion, go to http://www.gcmtravel.com/gcm/home.jsp.
If you're near the lakefront, you can take Lake Shore Drive and Sheridan Road to Central Street
in Evanston. We're just over a mile west of Sheridan. Alternately, you can take Green Bay Road
to Central Street. We are one block west of Green Bay.
Parking:
Metered parking is available on Central Street and in a lot one block west of us. Free parking
can be found on neighborhood streets. Please observe all parking signs carefully. Evanston
enforces its parking regulations with vigor. If you park seven feet from a driveway when the
sign says no parking within eight feet, you will get a ticket!
Public transportation:
Rail: Metra's Union Pacific North Line stops at the Central Street Station one block from our
gallery. Trains leave Chicago's Ogilvie Transportation Center at Madison & Canal Streets hourly
on week days, about every two hours on weekends. For schedules check with your hotel or call
us. Train schedules can be found at Metra's website
[http://metrarail.com/schedule.html]. The trip from downtown Chicago takes about 30 minutes.
Elevated: The CTA's Purple Line stops at Central Street. Walk west for just under a mile to our
gallery. Trains operate several times an hour most of the day. Schedules are on the CTA's
website [http://www.transitchicago.com].
Please call if you have questions. We look forward to seeing you.
