A crisp, dark impression. With the Isle of California and distinctive representations of the Sargasso Sea and other areas of floating vegetation in the Atlantic. Elaborate cartouches celebrate Columbus and the introduction of Christianity to the New World. The bounty of the Americas is symbolized by an Indian prince surrounded by flora and fauna, with sugar cane and tobacco being harvested in the background.
