Detailed geographical information is scanty, though landfalls in the Antarctic are noted, and Texas and Oregon are named separately as is Russian America. This is, however, one of the more decorative atlas maps of the 19th century. It features personifications and emblems for the seasons, the elements, and the Zodiac. Additional iconography include Adam and Eve, Christ enthroned, and other figures.
